Edited by: Linas IV on 23/09/2009 15:13:03 Two words on my mind: "Finaly!" and "AWESOME!!"
Changes look really promising, glad to see something is going to change.
Concerning you question on damage types; In my opinion EMP is a kinda double edged sword at the moment:
While the EM-damage can be nice in some situations, the large portion of Explo damage ruins the advantage most of the time. (for example because of the extremly high Explo resist on dual Invul-field Setups)
Therfore i totally recommend the tier change of Ammo posted earlier:
Quote: Fusion, Phased plasma, EMP, Titanium sabot, Nuclear, Proton, Depleted uranium, Carbonized lead
Maybe switch titanium and nuclear, and increase the EM/Explo Ratio on EMP, but the rest seems fine. (this will hopefully stop the dual-EANM DC Tank Dominance in PVP aswell)

Did Anyone except me notice that the Falloff-Bonus of Tracking-Computers doesn't work on Sisi?

These Changes really look promising!
Im eager to Test them on Sisi the next few weeks.
With a bit of luck will the damage Bonus on Fusion finaly stop the era of dual EAMS + DC + Trimarks everywhere, and im really glad to hear that!
But i see two little problems:
1:Hail (maybe even Barrage) will become complete useless once we get RF-Fusion with those changes. (better tracking, good dmg)
=> Maybe rethink T2 Ammo for all gun-types alltogether
2:The Naglfar might get pretty OP with choosable dmg-types compared to Moros or Rev.

What I'm wondering is if CCP has considered (and what everyone else thinks) about adding the small/medium autocannon effects to large autocannons in Dominion.
I can understand why they have sped up arty effects since the guns are named repeating artillery, but I always wished/thought it would be so much more badass for large autocannons to have their smaller versions graphics and Dominions revamp seems like the perfect chance for it to happen.
CCP could even rename/throw in a whole backstory to the new guns stats/graphics for extra RP factor. Hope a Dev or anyone else can reply to this in case its been mentioned before or why it shouldn't happen. I would be much obliged
tldr: can the new ACs get their smaller versions firing effects in dominion
QFT!
I think the Dual 425s already have the AC-Style-effect and sound, simply carry it over to the 650s and 800s Please!

Guys you are complaining an awful lot even though
those changes aren't even on Sisi yet!!!
Why does everyone cry about the Tempest/Mealstrom still doing less raw DPS at close- (<10km vs Neutrons) and long- (>25km vs Scorch) Ranges.
Ok I admit, its possible to choose a damage-type properly now, but a Torp-raven could do that all along and no one cried that its OP (yes its a shieldtank, same as those "OP" Mealstrom Fittings here ^^)
Additionly it seems the Gallente-wing here forgot that there are other drones than Ogre II aswell in order to get their point along. (Berserkers are Awesome)
How do you think the 1600/EAMN/DC tank became so Popular? Because exp-Damage was not competetive. This might FINALY change now, and i think thats not a bad thing, adds another bit of diversity to PVP.
If you dont believe it, add only 1 EXP/EM Hardener and/or Rig to all those Fittings and you will see that the new Minmatar-Bs aren't that overpowered. (EHP isn't everything!)
Lets all wait till we can test it out properly on Sisi, and then start discussing.
(Ps: to those graph-junkies, that try to influence ppl here, you all forget the hit-quality reduction in falloff so substract roughly 15% dps at any ranges >15km)

I knew it was too good to be true, but lets see how these values work out on Sisi.
I hope this reduction wasn't exclusivly based on these dodgy discussions here.
But we still get the 10% Damage-boost on -50% Ammo and the choosable damage types, right?

After i did rethink those changes, the 10%-20% (1.5-3kms on Med, 3-6kms on Large; after skills) wont change much at all, maybe a 10%/20%/30% change would be more reasonable without being OP.

Originally by: Captain Narmio +20% falloff on 800mms is hardly noticeable, and +10% on 650s is putting a bandaid on a broken arm. Large ACs need serious help. +37.5% falloff was just about right.

This is an awesomely good idea, maybe do a mix of both situations: 10%/35%/40% Falloff-Bonus on AC tiers and 20% Falloff on TEs/TCs

Edited by: Linas IV on 10/11/2009 11:29:01 Lets get Back on topic for a Second:
After extensive testing, I consider the current Projectile-Changes on Sisi pretty reasonable and effective.
The new damage-Types work well together with the increased falloff, but maybe the difference between Tiers schould be increased a slight bit again. (0%/15%/30% seems more reasonable than the current 0%/10%/20%)
Another point is that Ambit-Extension Rigs lost much of its use because of the recent TC/TE buff and look pretty pale in Comparison to the Locus-Coordinators. (15%/20% Falloff VS 15%/20% Optimal on T1/T2 doesn't compare well)
It would be an good idea to increase the Ambits' Bonus to 30%/40% or at least 20%/35% Please consider to change the Rigs before Dominion hits TQ.

Just a Question to the DEVs out of interest:
Is this Thread still red, or is the Projectile-Topic considered as "Finished" in its current form for dominion?
My opinion is that the Falloff boost between AC-Tiers needs to be increased a bit more.

No they are swapping it aswell for the normal Phoon + Tempest.
